Stop Surviving. Start THRIVING!

Why I Created Break Free, a Coaching & Hypnotherapy Framework Designed to Help Highly Sensitive Women (HSPs) Thrive In a Loud and Overwhelming World.

Highly sensitive women often move through life feeling like they're both too much and not enough.

Too emotional, too deep, too timid, too easily overwhelmed…

Not assertive enough, outspoken, creative, educated enough…

We're told to toughen up, dial it back, or stop taking things so personally.

But over time, those messages settle into our subconscious minds, shaping disempowering beliefs and self-doubt that influence every aspect of our lives.

"I'm not enough." "I'm too much." "I don't fit in." "What I want isn't realistic."

These beliefs lie at the heart of what keeps many highly sensitive women feeling unseen, overwhelmed, stuck in perfectionism or people-pleasing, emotionally overburdened and afraid, preventing them from creating the lives, relationships, and meaningful work they genuinely crave.

If you've ever felt this way, you're not alone. There are many others like you who are on this journey of self-discovery and healing.

As a hypnotherapist and transformation coach for highly sensitive women (HSPs), I created Break Free, my 1:1 coaching and hypnotherapy framework to help highly sensitive women like you uproot and rewrite those old, disempowering stories and beliefs. This framework is designed to empower you to create a life that truly resonates with you, a life that lights you up!

Your Stories Follow You Wherever You Go…

My commitment to women's mental and emotional wellness isn't just a career choice — it's a calling that has shaped my life's work.

I am a storyteller by heart. For two decades, I worked in theatre and film, dedicated to telling women's stories and supporting other female artists in bringing their creative visions to life. I loved that world — and I was surrounded by highly sensitive, intuitive and creative women.

But what fascinated me most wasn't the strong, courageous women on stage or screen. It was the quiet, often painful truths of the women behind the scenes.

So many of the remarkable women I worked with felt like impostors. They questioned their worth and doubted their talent. They hesitated to command attention and take up space without apology. And they feared they weren't as tough or aggressive as their male peers, and so wouldn't be taken seriously.

(Ironic in an industry that was built by men, for men, and has made it very difficult for women to get to the top of the food chain without enormous personal sacrifice.) 🙄

Working alongside those women, I experienced and understood those feelings intimately.

When burnout forced me to leave the entertainment industry, I began working as a fertility coach — an unexpected and deeply meaningful career shift that came after a long and arduous fertility journey.

I quickly noticed a familiar theme: the women I was supporting all had negative stories and beliefs around self-worth, worthiness, and the right to want what they wanted. Only now it was around their ability to conceive and parent. These stories and beliefs didn't just impact my clients' fertility; they rippled across every area of their lives.

And with my highly sensitive clients, the impact ran even deeper and had more profound effects on their fertility.

As an HSP, I had worked hard to overcome my own limiting beliefs around self-worth (I still wrestle with self-worth from time to time) and my worthiness to be a mother.

When I chose to be a Solo mother, I had to overcome my subconscious shame about single motherhood, fears around whether I could handle the responsibility, and a deep-seated, unconscious fear that having a child would ruin my life (a belief I picked up from my mother, who had me when she was too young, and that kept my body stuck in survival mode).

Looking back now, I giggle about believing I couldn't handle having a child on my own.

But I have deep compassion for how terrified to the core I was back then because I almost gave up my dream of being a mum.

Confronting my deepest subconscious fears and beliefs has been life-changing for me. It's given me the freedom and autonomy I struggled to find for years.

It allowed me to take full responsibility for creating the life I really wanted to live: I have the child I've always wanted, do the work I'm called to do, and live by the beat of my own drum.

Helping my highly sensitive clients uncover their limiting beliefs and rewrite the stories around their fertility and motherhood was transformational — for me as much as them!

That's when I knew I wanted to support them beyond their fertility journeys and help highly sensitive women create and live their best lives on their terms.

The Inspiration Behind Break Free

I created Break Free because I understand that HSPs often don’t get support that truly respects and acknowledges their unique perspective and way of experiencing the world.

Highly sensitive women move through the world differently than most.

We have a heightened awareness of our environment, which can be extraordinarily overstimulating, overwhelming and exhausting. We're more empathetic and emotionally responsive, which means we often absorb other people's emotional dysregulation and drama.

We think deeply, feel deeply, and have rich, delicate and complex inner landscapes.

We need coaches, therapists, and holistic practitioners who understand and can meet our needs and complexities on a fundamental level.

Our innate sensitivity is a tremendous strength when nurtured. But without the right tools and support, everything that makes us unique can lead to self-doubt and burnout.

In Break Free, I guide women through unravelling the old stories that have kept them stuck in self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviours. These could be beliefs like 'I'm not good enough' or 'I don't fit in'. We then install new, healthy ones. We rebuild their self-worth from the inside out, free from the need for external validation or expectations.

And because HSPs have more responsive nervous systems that require more care and attention, we find the most effective ways to regulate, balance and nurture their sensitive nervous systems.

My goal is simple: To create an environment where my clients feel safe, deeply cared for and respected — because it's hard to explore and grow if you're stuck in self-protective, survival mode.

And to help highly sensitive women build self-trust and resilience by embracing their intuition — their built-in guidance system — and their sensitivity as the strength it is, so they can create a life that feels aligned with purpose, is balanced, and grounded in their values.

The Daily Struggles Highly Sensitive Women Face

So many highly sensitive women carry self-sabotaging beliefs and fears without even realising it. And many of those beliefs and fears don't actually belong to them. They're projections, fears and beliefs inherited from the people who raised them.

Growing up hearing "you're too sensitive" or "toughen up" leaves a lasting negative impression on their tender hearts and impressionable minds.

These messages are not just invalidating, they're shaming and contemptuous, and HSP children internalise them as truths about their worth and potential as human beings even more deeply than non-HSP kiddos.

Once embedded in their subconscious mind, these beliefs and fears quietly steer their decisions, play an outsized role in relationships, and influence career paths — often in ways that aren't grounded in their values or serve their mental and emotional well-being.

They stay in jobs that drain them and relationships that don't honour them. They abandon creative dreams and lose connection to the deepest, most inspired parts of themselves, to source, and to what they know to be true for them.

They struggle to cope and keep up with a world built for loudness, speed and relentless output — the antithesis of who they are and how they function.

It's no wonder so many highly sensitive women struggle with burnout — mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

But when they shift focus from trying to survive in a world that is not built for them, and focus instead on healing and balancing their nervous system, everything changes.

They build self-trust, confidence, and appreciation for their sensitivity as a gift.

They set healthy boundaries, stop people-pleasing, and begin living in alignment with their values and desires.

And they transform shame into self-worth, showing up in their lives as the powerful, magnetic, wise women they are.

You can move mountains not by pushing harder, but by trusting the flow — your flow

Don't you love it when a good Ah-ha! moment sneaks up on you?

Mine came in a moment of quiet (almost boring) contentment.

My son was 4 months old, and I realised that, despite my years of moving and manoeuvring, striving and surviving, I was doing everything I'd spent half my life believing I couldn't do, and living the life that, deep down, I had always wanted to live.

I felt whole, calm, and deeply fulfilled, and I saw clearly, perhaps for the first time, how fear and self-doubt had once kept me small and afraid.

I saw how learning to trust my deep sensitivity and intuition had guided me toward everything I truly wanted: motherhood, meaningful work and purpose, and a quiet, joyful, inner peace.

I saw how my sensitivity grounded me, kept me real and honest, and was the cornerstone of the self-trust I had built in fits and starts when I allowed myself to let go of the 'shoulds' and of trying to please others.

If I could reimagine and rewrite all my bulls*** stories and beliefs and create a life of peace, purpose and contentment, I knew that every highly sensitive woman can too, regardless of whatever kind of crazy is exploding in the world around them.

And voilà, Break Free was born.

Why The Break Free Approach Works

As both a transformation coach and hypnotherapist, I combine the forward focus of coaching with the deep inner work of hypnotherapy.

Standard coaching models avoid delving into the client's past, while traditional therapies often stop short of activating clients to take action toward their future.

I believe lasting growth and transformation requires both — healing the root cause of what keeps us stuck in trauma and shrinking ourselves, and building a new future on the solid foundation of that healing and expansion.

You can do both at the same time.

In Break Free, hypnotherapy helps you uncover and release subconscious blocks and negative beliefs, while coaching brings clarity, structure, and aligned action toward your goals.

It's a holistic approach that honours the whole, integrated human being — mind, body, heart and spirit.

“I have been in therapy for years, but after my first few sessions with Sim, I was truly blown away by how insightful and powerful the work is and the lasting impact they were already having on me.

I always felt so at peace and held as I moved through each session, which allowed me to really dig within and access parts of me and my story that have been ever so healing. I am so grateful for all that I have learned about myself and for the healing I have experienced through my work with Sim.”

The Future is HSP.

The future of personal development lies in integration. More coaches are beginning to incorporate therapeutic techniques, and more therapists are adopting coaching tools.

Highly sensitive women can't be separated into their "past selves" and "future selves" to be coached or therapized separately.

Healing and growth must serve the whole human being — the beautifully complex, deeply feeling, intuitive soul within.

I aim to offer highly sensitive women a space where they can heal from the past, embrace and grow where they are, and become the leaders our world sorely needs if we’re going to survive and thrive as a species.

Break Free is where sensitivity, empathy, and intuition aren't just accepted, but nurtured and celebrated.

Stop surviving. It’s time to start thriving!
